Three Colors of Eye Bags
Concealing Three Spleen and Stomach Issues
1. Bluish Under-eye Bags:
The bluish color indicates a cold syndrome. If accompanied by symptoms such as aversion to the cold, pale complexion, diarrhea, and lack of energy, it suggests spleen and stomach deficiency with coldness.
2. Light Red Under-eye Bags:
After recovering from an illness, a child’s under-eye bags may appear light red. This is because the illness and fever have depleted the body’s fluids, leading to spleen yin deficiency.
3. Purple Under-eye Bags:
When a child has poor digestive function, leading to persistent food accumulation and heat generation, the stagnation of qi and blood flow can cause the under-eye bags to gradually turn purple.
